Beryl Cook Takes Los Angeles

To coincide with Frieze Los Angeles, The Maybourne Beverly Hills hosts an exuberant exhibition of works by Beryl Cook. This beloved British artist is famed for her witty take on social realism, creating playful paintings that pop with life and color.

Having first arrived stateside (to critical acclaim) in 2022, this is only the second exhibition of Cook’s works in the US. Curated by New York-based gallery, A Hug From The Art World, over 40 paintings, drawings and archive pieces come together at The Maybourne Beverly Hills, as ‘Beryl Cook Takes Los Angeles’.

Open to all from February 26, expect comical scenes, vivid hues and bold curves, in a celebration of Cook’s artistry – and the hotel’s British heritage.
